Ok, so that didn’t go too hot because the image didn’t upload correctly or something and I tried to add it after the fact… Plus sometimes the video plays in the browser and sometimes it launches iTunes. I think I’ll stick to mp4 and .mov, both of which are playable in the iPod.

Just a 1 minute test of the m4v… this footage shot this past summer at the brooklyn botanic gardens at my favorite summertime spot. music by brian eno/harold budd one of my alltime favorite teary tracks, The Chill Air.
Quicktime’s latest update contains a format you can save to: Movie to Ipod which creates an m4v file. I’m testing to see how this works in various aggreagators and browswers. I suspect it will not work at all if you haven’t updated to the lastest version of Quicktime.
Ok, so it appears that when you click on this it launches iTunes, which kind of bites. But it will play in the ipod… hmm… Not sure on this…
Argh, sorry, many strange things happening here…

The other night I watched, via netflix, "the straight story" a david lynch film and it was filmed like 20 miles from where I grew up in a very similar tiny town in Iowa. Which made me think of my brother, who I recorded around July 4 2005 and now I’m finally putting the footage in here.Meet my bro!
